When I turn the wheel sharply to back out of the driveway and then straighten up, I hear a noise similar to crushing an aluminum can. It is a high, tinny noise coming from the passenger front. When it first happened, I thought I had run over a can, but nothing was there. I had someone listen, and he thinks its coming from the fender well, not the wheel. This car is a 2004 Volvo CX90.
Ask someone to help. They should locate themselves near that wheel, and look to see if the tire is hitting anything when you make that maneuver. Here’s a question: Does your car have the same size of tires it had when it was new?
