My wife 2000 vw beetle a/c will not engage unless the engines rpms are around 2500.
Have someone with the proper equipment and experience check the AC system for correct refrigerant level and possible minor leak.
pep boys looked it over and did not find any leak and seem to be fully charged, they were they said take it to a dealer.
Must appreciate a company that knows when they are over their head,at least they didn’t try BSing you
