how do you know if your vehicle is a vin B vs a Vin G. Trying to buy some parts from overseas, the site says diff parts if my vehicle is a vin G or a vin B 1st 4 of the vin is 1B4G (Dodge Caravan SE)
The second character, “B”, means its a Dodge, so I assume that’s not the one that they are talking about.

It’s been a couple of years since I was in the biz, but something is telling me the 8th character is generally the one in question, and that it refers to what engine is in the car. The parts supplier ought to be able to tell you for sure.
