Used car value and trailer hitch

I have a 1999 Toyota Solara I’m going to sell in very good condition. It is a sporty 2dr coupe. My question is, should I take off the trailer hitch to help the resale value or leave it on? Some may think a hitch represents extra stress on the car. Other may think it’s a nice extra. Still other will think it looks bad. Any help?

When I see a car with a hitch, I ask myself what was hauled with the vehicle? And was it abused?

Take it off.

Offer to remove it as a condition of sale if the person wants that. But otherwise I’d leave it on. But that’s just me. I like a vehicle to have all of it’s possibilities at the ready.

Leave it on and be honest about its use if asked.
