Up grade or down grade?

I have a 98’ protege ES -135500 miles- and looking to get something a bit less beat up …

I’m thinking '99 or 2000, still with the 1.8 motor and 85000 to 110000 miles for $4000 ish

or

an older ES 1.8 with 100000 to 150000 for less than $2000



any ideas ?

In these price ranges you’re going to have to decide what your price limit is and choose from what you can find on the market.

Those mileages come with risk. If your Mazda is running reliably you may be better to get a $249 MAACO paint job and FEEL like you’ve bought a new ride!
