I have recently purchased a 99 lumina LS. The turn signal switch although it does click when i push it either way and goes off when the wheel comes back around. the left turn will not blink properly unless just slightly held down NOT into the stationary clicked position. and the right turn signal will blink properly when clicked into position but, not pushed all of the way in…? do i have a turn signal switch problem? do i have a blinker problem? or just plain wiring malfunction? please help i have no idea i have never ran into this problem with any vehicle before.
Based on your description, I’d say you have a defective switch.
This item has to be replaced.
