4l60. Tranny 08 xpress I’m getting p0700 code. 2 weeks after first getting code the tranny went out. Replaced tranny but still getting the same code. Should I b worried and how can I fix it.
I’d be very worried. p0700 is for the TCM (transmission control module). I’d get it checked out.
You could try removing BOTH battery cables and clamping them together for an hour to “reboot” everything.
P0700 doesn’t tell you anything. It just says that there is a transmission related fault code stored. Exit engine codes and data and access transmission codes and data. There you will find transmission specific fault codes (like P0734 or something) as well as live transmission data and functional tests. Begin there and post back with what you find.
