Osprey tilt-prop aircraft. >:?)
You will pay out the butt for a new one. Good used ones will run:
330xi: 10-15K
328xi wagon: 20-25K
335xi: 25-30K
(the wagon doesn’t come in the 330 or 335 format. Best to check them out on ebay motors or autotrader.)
Don’t know your budget but these are awesome cars. I can almost guarantee you won’t want anything else once you drive one. Ultimate driving machines built for true driving enthusiasts.
How about an all-wheel-drive Hemi-powered Magnum, 300, or Charger. Best of all worlds–quick, will do 120+ all day long without straining, plenty of cargo room, stable at high speeds, and go great through snow. And cheaper than the Audis, Vettes, etc. Comfy too.
Robert, I would have to check on your Expeditions trans fluid level requirements. Keep in mind, some newer vehicles have a special tool dipstick that has to calculate level recorded with vehicle temperature.
Other vehicles have “life time” fluid. You don’t mess with it.{engineers do not realize we common folk retain vehicles for more than three years and they develop leaks}
Some transmissions have a level plug on the transmission pan itself. If you remove the plug and fluid comes out, its full.
On some you change the fluid and add the required amount. No dipstick provided.
Others have a low fluid level indicator, unfortunately they don’t tell you how low or what to add.No dipstick is provided.
Some you have to remove the speedometer cable and measure fluid level with a special tool dipstick.
I would have to agree with ANY AWD version of ANY BMW…they arent called the ultimate driving machines for nothing…absolutely FANTASTIC vehicles. Designed from the gound up and on day one for the Autobahn…no joke. They are built like tanks and handle beautifully… They are just getting warmed up at 100Mph…literally. They are designed to be driven at speeds above 100MPH ALL DAY LONG.
Now…it seems to me that you are trying very hard to stay in an American Vehicle. The Chevy Trailblazer SS is AWD I believe…has close to if not more than 400Hp…and has the cargo space you could need. That vehicle wouldnt even be breathing hard at under 120MPH. I’m sure there are a few others such as the Jeep SRT8 versions AWD and plenty of power to go above 100 all day long too not sure what else American Iron has AWD and is capable of high speed cruising…I’d have to ponder that a little while.
You left out the comma after the word tool.
Yes. Frustrating that we must rely on a dealership to do something that we can do outselves and have to pay a lot for it.
Denver’s Mike Shaw Chevrolet-Saab donated a transmission flush and fill.
But they do not have thequipment to do a Ford transmission flush/fill.
Thanks.
Not preferring any particular manufacturer.
The Expedition happened to be available and a great buy.
Thesemergency transports are just to a hospital, then slow return.
Traffic slows tranpsorts, but where there is none, higher speeds can be attained until catching up to traffic ahead.
We use what vehicles we have.
Should have driven the Camry but it was not available so took the Expedition.
Robert, before you become a stupid english teacher, I would advise you to check your own spelling.
This is a car forum, we are not writing novels.
[E]nglish.
Apparentlyou missed the liitle joke.
If “old wrench” is going to preface "english teacher"with stupid, it’s best it not be capitalized. It then becomes a reference to anyone who attempts to teach grammar w/o being qualified. It’s now non offensive to my wife who is indeed an English teacher and is not stupid. I might be if I attempted to, which I’m demonstrating now by my stupidity.
Am I close Whitey ?
Doesn’t capitalizing the “E” mean you are talking about a stupid teacher who happens to be English? Leaving it lower case lets the reader know you are talking about the discipline instead of the nationality.
oldwrench, don’t worry if you missed Robert’s joke. It was a moaner.
At least the English teachers I know and live with want it to be capitalized. According to the American Heritage Dictionary, we capitalize the names of nationalities, races, tribes and languages.
But, I’m on record supporting the lower case “e” for oldwrench’s use cause, "i don’t see robert as a teacher of english " the language.:=(
Ain’t nothin’ wrong with my English.
I’m even working on a book; How to Write Good.
Lower case 'e’was used on purpose. My mother is a retired Principle.
That’s funny, I got the same “principal” too. :=)
it’s enlightening to final talk with guys who appreciate grammar enough to at least try capitalizing and punctuating once in a while texting has not done many of us any good in that department
