My dealer gave my beetle a new convertible top. It is so tight I have great trouble closing it. I left it at the dealer a few days and they said it will eventually stretch. not yet!
They did it wrong…Have them do it again. Does the car come with a really tight top from the factory???
When I had my Miata it was common for aftermarket tops to be tight when first installed. Normally some time in the sun relaxed them and they were not an issue after that.
On my Miata when I replaced the top, it was tight, A few weeks later it was normal and no problems.
