To Perform 'Brake Fluid Exchange'

So I went into the Honda dealership, where I bought my car, for the routine Oil Change for my 2018 HondaAccord with 26,693 miles.
They said I needed to perform a ‘Break Fluid Exchange’. Isn’t this supposed to be done every 30,000 - 40,000 miles ? _______. TIA.

What is a ’ Break Fluid Exchange’ ?

Brake fluid should be changed by time and it may have that in the service part of your owners . manual . I do mine every 5 years which you have now.

I always change brake fluid whenever i get around to waxing the axles.

What does your maintenance schedule say?

One of the footnotes to the schedule says to change the brake fluid every 36mo even if the maintenance minder doesn’t display the code. Specifies time instead of mileage

The mileage limits are for people that drive a lot. After almost 6 years it’s about time for brake fluid change.
