Best tires for a quiet ride?
Head on over to TireRack.com. They have a great section rating many brands of tires for various things as well as noise. Also has customer comments that can have entries about noisy tires. You can search which brands and tire models have your size and then look to the ratings. You don’t have to buy from them but it is a great resource as is Consumer Reports.
Your Prius has low rolling resistance (LRR) tires to improve its mileage. They are likely more noisy than the average tire. IF you replace the tire with non-LRR tires your mileage will likely suffer, Keep that in mind - it is a tire design trade off.
