Timing belt

I have a dearly loved 2002 Honda Accord Coupe 6-Cycl (nicknamed Goldfinger), which has approximately 70,000 miles. When should I have the timing belt serviced, and how much does it typically cost?

I think your timing belt is due, because of age longer than 7 years, so soon would be when to change it out.

I don’t own Honda’s but typically my timing belt replacements run around $500 including parts. Your cost may vary due to mechanic labor rates. Look at changing water pump and possibly any tensioners at the same time, because parts and labor to do these are minimal during timing belt replacement.

Take a look at http://www.gates.com/downloads/download_common.cfm?file=428-1466_web.pdf&folder=brochure It’s probably time ust due to age too. Roy’s is right, even if he does like KU.
