How do I tighten the emergency brake on my 2006 Prius?
It is getting very easy to push.
It could be the rear brakes are getting worn. A 2 year old car should not have stretched out cables yet. But, typically, the e-brake has an adjuster either at the pedal/handle connection or the cable y-connector under the car. The single cable from the handle is split to two cables for each rear brake, and there is typically an adjuster down there.
nevermind how the pedal pushes;
if it still holds then don’t mess with it. 2 yrs is usually too soon to have to do an ebrake job.
