I have a 1998 Volvo S70 and it’s making a “sqeeky mattress” sound. My husband changed the struts and we thought this would fix the problem but it did not. What gives???
There are number of bushings in the front suspension: antisway bar, and control arms. Spray one with a penetrating oil in turn, and bounce the car up and down. Repeat until you find one or more that makes the noise stop or diminish. Replace the offending bushing(s).
