Stuck Ignition Key

Hello. I have a 2005 Mitsubishi Endevour XLS w/23000 miles, when the car has been driven for long distances or especially after sitting in a hot parking lot all day (I live in Florida)I cannot remove the ignition key. The car has been serviced by the Mitsubishi dealer three times for this, including the Endevour recall for this problem. Any suggestions? Thank you. Tim Shaner, Palm Harbor, FL

It sounds like a worn lock. This is often caused by having a key chain with lots of keys, remotes, Pink PomPoms etc. The extra weight helps wear out the lock.

So tell us what the results have been and what did they do per the recall?

I’m a guy, I don’t have a lot of weight on the key. The car only has 23000 mi. That is the only part that has not been replaced though. We’ll see what the dealer has to say.
