Strange behaviour at gas stations

I for one sincerely doubt the kick by the biker caused the car to go out of control, driver jerk reaction or attempt to screw up the biker my preference of choice, and I go with attempt to screw the biker. One might think the driver did not see the bike in his rear view mirror, but my bet is the driver did, attempted homicide in my book!
Crap a little body damage does not justify the actions. Get a plate and call the police.

Perhaps, but by kicking the car the biker clearly in my mind escalated the confrontation severely and endangered a whole lot of lives. The rest are all consequences of this act.

And I think he knew it or he wouldn’t have taken off like he did.

People are going to have different perspectives on this one. Mine is that even if the car did cut the bike off the bike has major culpability for the accident. IMHO there is no acceptable excuse for kicking the car.

I thought of an experience I had at a gas station the other day. There is an ATM for my bank next to the gas station. I pull into the place and there is a car at the ATM so I sit there and wait
 and wait
 and wait
I figured they were looking for something or getting checks, etc. together for the ATM but I never saw anything happening. After about 5 minutes of waiting I got out to check and see what was going on. The woman was texting and apparently wasn’t even there for the ATM. She did move once she realized I was there.

There have been several articles about the bad aspects of smart phones and social media lately with the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and all the other smart phones that followed. It does seem that texting and social media brings out the worst in people. I call it antisocial media. Another problem is that people completely lack situational awareness. This texting woman was an inconvenience to me but could be a nice juicy target for a robber. She had no idea I was there until I was right on top of her.

Some of the cars and motorcycles that try to pass on the right are driven by nutcases. I am sure more than a few have eliminated themselves from the gene pool pulling this crap. It seems they want to run up right under that semi in the right lane.

Could it be that those two clowns deserved each other? The truck did not deserve to meet either of those does, though.

The term “road rage” may not have been coined yet but even back in the 1950s, it was apparently a big enough problem to inspire this Disney cartoon.

Walt was one of my favorite people.

The biker should have safely followed the car and when they reached their destination parked and got out simply kicked the living s**t out of the driver. No danger to innocent drivers.

I have a copy of Mr. Walker (Dr. Jekyll) and Mr. Wheeler (Mr. Hyde). One of my all time favorites.

Nobody should ever kick the s**t out of anybody for cutting them out in traffic. This attitude is responsible for far too much violence in our country. I adamantly disagree with this statement. Violence is only justifiable in self defense or defense of an innocent victim. Anybody who behaves this way is a danger to society and should be locked up forever.

It finally dawned on me, the lottery is an ingenious scheme for the government to get the money paid to welfare recipients back again.

I’m gonna buy my tickets downtown at a store with a bulletproof glass cage for the cashier from now on.

That is like me. I always say that if you want to win the lottery, buy tickets at a gas station that sells cigarettes, beer, ammo, and porn. Yes, we have those in MO. Just buying them at the grocery store isn’t the same for some reason.

Yes, I have heard many people say that lottery tickets are the government’s way of getting the poor to pay their fair share in taxes. Unfortunately this is probably true based on the people I see buying large quantities of tickets. I will buy a couple Powerball when it gets really high. Some people buy hundreds of dollars worth!

Kicking the car resulted in an accident that endangered innocent people. Kicking the driver would not. Humor!

I always have called it a tax on people who are very bad at math.

I saw that video.

More then once I was behind someone in line getting gas and they were just sitting in their car texting. Usually just honking the horn and they moved. Extremely rude. One lady didn’t move
So I walked up to her car and did two quick pounds on her drivers door glass to get her attention. Boy was she upset. In no uncertain terms I told her to move her stupid *ss. She told me she was going to call the cops for assault. Then I pointed out the 3-4 security cameras and filing a false police report is a felony. She drove off
never filing her car. I hope she ran out of gas on the way to the next station.

I made a simple wooden “tool” to bypass this. Take a piece of 1 inch wood. Cut it 4 inches long, then cut an angle from 1 inch to 2 inches, it’s like a little ramp. When you start pumping shove it in the handle. I do not walk away, but it keeps me from having to hold that dam handle the whole time! Technically illegal but I’ve never had anyone question me.

I haven’t seen this much at all in the past 5-10 years but I always have a small knife or money clip with a knife on it and used to use that to hold the thing on.

My gas cap work’s to hold it on.

Maybe, the guy was homeless. His van was his house. The incidents you observed were life in millennium USA. NYC, and L.A. have the largest homeless populations. The homeless flock to cities because of the services they can get in a city. I used to live in L.A. When I ran across a homeless person, I offered them a bottle of water, an apple, or both. We don’t know their situations, so it is best to let them live in a way they can. San Diego’s homeless population may be due to the weather there.
Nationwide, cities are becoming less, and less friendly to The Homeless. Park benches no longer allow stretching out, building entrances, are now off limits, and in some cities, being homeless is a crime. Yeah, as if the people did this to themselves.

No way he was homeless

It was a white Ford econoline company van, with very conspicuous logos on the side

he was just an inconsiderate jerk

No excuse whatsoever
