Step by step instructions

Last week I replaced the rear brakes on 98 Jeep. During the process I did not pay close enough attention during disassembly and assumed both sides were the same, they are not. It did work out ok after much trial and error.

Is there any place on the internet where I can get step by step instructions the next time I screw up?

Do you mean they are mirror images of each other rather than duplicates? Are they drum brakes?

The best resource is a repair manual specific to your vehicle. Check your local auto parts store to see if they have one for your car.
