Stalls on sharp turns

I have a 1989 Plymouth Voyager I use as my winter vehicle. It’s in great shape and runs really well, but when I slow to a stop, the check gauge light comes on. It all looks OK except for the tach, which stops at about 12k rpm. When I get to the parking ramp at work and am trying to turn into a tight spot, the check gauge light comes on again and the van stalls. It only stalls on those tight turns. Any ideas?

I.am not sure about your van some cars have a sensor that when the wheels are at the end stops it tells the isp motor to up the idle because the engine idle will slow down so low the engine light will come on

Take a quick look at the power steering level, and if OK, maybe a trusted machanic could check it.
