Stalling out in 2000 Buick LeSabre

Here in central Florida, 4 days ago this car started up but immediately stalled, every time I tried. I waited until yesterday, got it started and engine kept going so long as I kept accelerating. But when I tried to shift in reverse to back out of the driveway, it kept stalling. So now I need a tow. What is likely the problem? And must I manually push the car out so it can be towed from the front, and if so, is it ok if I run the engine in neutral to enable the power steering to allow the car to go around some corners?

Check that the electrical plug is connected to the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor next to the air cleaner. Check that the large black intake tube is securely connected and check it for splits or cracks.
