The SRS light came on in my 1999 Acura TL. What does this mean?
It means that your airbags (and seatbelt retractors if you have them) won’t work in a crash. Do you have an owner’s manual for your car? I assure you that it explains this and many more things (like features you may be missing out on).
It should be spelled out in the owner’s manual. The ‘Safety Restraint System’ controller has detected a problem and turned off the air bags. You’ll need to take the car to a shop to find out what the problem is. There is no DIY fix for this system.
