I have a 1999 Saturn Coupe with about 47,000 miles on it. Today, my clutch started squeaking every time I depressed it. Is this forewarning of something bad, or should I ignore it? Thanks!
It could mean you need some lubricant on the hinge at the top of the clutch petal. On my car that wasn’t enough, I have a squeeky master cylinder. It works fine but squeeks and has been that way now for about 5 years. I have learned to ignore it.
Your squeek is annoying but not likely to be a big deal, that is if you can live with the noise.
Thank you
