I have a 2005 Corolla with about 75,000 miles on it. Within the last month or two it has developed a high pitched squeaky noise that appears to be coming from the front left tire. It doesn’t happen all the time but primarily when going 15+ miles/hour and almost always when the car first starts. Revving does nothing, but only when the car is in motion. It does not appear to be related to braking. Volume is relatively constant.
If the noise goes away when you step on the brakes it could be a wear indicator on the brake pads telling you it’s time for new brakes.
If you have steel wheels with hubcaps, try removing the hubcap on that wheel and see if the noise goes away.
Check your brakes. As McP said, it could be a wear indicator. If these are your original pads, they should be about due.
