Spray paint leaked in trunk

So a can of spray paint that has been in my trunk for an unknown number of years leaked out in my trunk (under the flap where the spare tire is) so not on any carpet, just metal.

Now, there is a strong paint smell inside my car even after cleaning everything up. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the smell? And if it is dangerous to be inhaling these fumes? I’ve been driving with the windows down, but it is cold here in the north.

The best solution is to open the trunk when you aren’t driving the car to let the paint dry and everything air out. You’ll have to decide if that’s worth the risk of getting something stolen from your trunk and/or rodents deciding to jump in & make it their nice, cozy living room. One thing you got going for you, this too shall pass, irrespective of what you do eventually the odor will go away.
