I have a '93 Dodge Intrepid 33 V6. I need to replace the speed sensor. Can you tell me where it is located. I’m a backyard mechanic
Look low on the transmission from the back side. It will be, more or less, in line (same level) with the half shafts. It should be the only thing there. That’s how it was on my 92 Caravan. There’s really not much else it can be if you think of where it has to be to read the output of the trans.
thanks, I’ll try that
There are two of them, an input (Turbine) speed sensor and an output speed sensor. You need to replace them BOTH. Since they both work together it is recommended that they be replaced in PAIRS. They are located on the side of the transmission. Heres a pic to help you.
