Commander Cody (not to be confused with movie serial hero Commando Cody) revived old country songs. Charlie Ryan wrote this song about his own souped-up V12 Lincoln and a race he took with it. It’s an interesting story, Hot Rod Lincoln - Wikipedia , if you like cars.
