I dropped a small piece of plastic the size of dime into my gas tank yesterday morning. Will it harm it? What should I do? I have a 2010 335 BMW.
What was it?
It was part of the plastic cap of a gas treatment to put in my car.
That’s what I thought. I wouldn’t worry about it, it’s resistant to the chemicals in gas.
But that’s me.
The ‘‘sock’’ filter on the pick up tube will stop it and it will do no harm.
Leave it and drive on.
