RV fueling problem

I live in California in the San Joaquin Valley. We have no problems gasing up our RV at home, but when we go to the central coast the pumps at all the gas stations we have tried so far, will only give us about 20 cents worth of gas at a time. The pump constantly stops. What is the problem?

It might be that your local gas station pumps its fuel at a slower rate than these other stations. Have you tried filling the tank at a slower rate at these stations?

It would really help to know more about your RV, but they seldom conform to standard conventions in terms of the angle of the fuel filler tube. Is the chassis a Ford or a Chevy? Is it a Class A RV or a Class C RV? In what year was the RV made?
