My 1997 Accura TL 3.2 when completely dead when the alarm system triggered on it’s own. When I was ready to leave, the car won’t start. All the lights on the dash comes on when I turn the ingnition on but nothing happens. It’s absolutely dead. Any tips as to how to reset the system and start the is greatly appreciated… GM
Best to check with your dealer if you unit is factory installed. I have an after-market unit and I can reset it by cutting off its power supply (remove its fuse or remove my battery)
Perhaps the problem is the battery, and not the security system. I’d try jump starting from a good battery and see what happens. If the dashboard lights still work there is probably enough battery left to maintain the security system memory, and it may not have to be reset, but the battery may be too weak to operate the starter.
