I need to replace the mechanical part of the passenger side mirror. The part has wires that feed into the door, but I don’t know how to get the door panel off to connect it. Can you help me?
A manual is your best bet. The dealer service department may even print an “exploded view” drawing of the door assembly for you for free if you ask nicely. That’s the best way to find out the exact location of the hardware.
If you look where the side mirror attaches, on the inside of the door there should be a triangular piece of plastic in front of that door window. Pry this plastic cover off, and there should be 3-4 nuts/bolts under this cover that attaches the mirror.
