How do I replace or test relays on my Isuzu trooper.
The power windows and rear window defroster don’t work
so I suspect the relays are bad. I have found them but them
but I can’t pull out by hand is there a special tool? Or am I being too gentle.
Some relays have a tab at the base of the relay that must be depressed in order to remove the relay from it’s socket. A quick way to test if a relay is faulty for a certain circuit is to substitute another relay from under the hood with the same part number for the one in question. If the cicuit functions after performing the swap, the relay is defective.
Tester
Some relays are really tight. You can rock the relay as you pull up on it. Sometimes, a screwdriver under each side is the “encouragement” the relay needs to come up.
