When/How to replace an original clutch on a 25 year old Audi GT that is a great drive with 300,000 miles and keeps on going? (2.2L/5 cylinders/5-MT) German Mechanic says: “drive til it stays on the floor”.
In all cars (not just Audis) you replace the clutch only when it’s worn out, or you have the tranny off for some other reason. Is it working fine? If it is, listen to your mechanic.
If it’s not broken, don’t fix it…
