I own a 2002 Mercedes CLK 430 coupe. The grill and air director is made of plastic and I have numerous cracks in it, currently held together by black duct tape.Is there a way to repair the plastic without a costly part replacement or visit to an overpriced body shop?
two part epoxy often works wonders with cracked or broken plastic parts.
Salvage yard for part, cross your fingers for a car with same color.
You have a nice car why make it look like a POS with mickey mouse repairs?
Estimate of $1500+ on vehicle worth $11,000. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
Where did you get an estimate of $1500 from? A salvage yard? Or someone else pricing from a salvage yard? That sounds like a full retail to me.
