I just had my transmission rebuilt on my F150 now when I put it in 4WD it making a drilling noise. What could it be?
Sounds like the transfer case. Take it back to the trans shop right away.

That’s a new one…what the heck is a drilling noise???
I did just that, and the guy first said, it’s because you had it in 4WD, then he said it was a 4WD problem. When I told him it wasn’t doing that before the rebuild, he said he would take it for another test drive. Shouldn’t they have tested the 4WD before they told me it was done.
