I recently had my automatic transmission rebuilt and it appears to be operating fine. However, I just noticed that after the vehicle obtains operational temperature, it has a tendency to slightly lunge forward at a complete stop. At a complete stopm, the idle will also fluctuate. If I place the vehicle in neutral, the car has a steady idle at 800 rpm. If I put the vehicle in reverse, the car will idle just fine without lunging forward.
I’m hoping the transmission needs an adjustment. Any comments?
Transmission rebuilds are like root canals.
They’re expensive and painful up front. And even then, there is a good chance it won’t last.
That’s why people rarely have good stories to tell about either.
