Hi folks,
The driver’s side mirror tends to fall out of position and point down toward the ground these days in my Tacoma truck. Does anybody know whether it’s a lot of work to fix that, such as taking the door apart, or perhaps a simple fix?
Thanks for any advice.
I’ve removed mirrors, including on my Toyota trucks, by popping the plastic garnish off the inside, removing the nuts holding the mirror on, and unpluggung the wiring (power mirrors). On some vehicles it’s necessary to remove the inner door panel to get at the lower nuts.
I admit that I’ve never done a newer Tacoma, but I’ll bet it works the same way.
You could always request an “exploded view drawing” from the dealer’s parts department. I do this often.
