I need to replace the side view mirror/casing on the drivers side. I have the parts from the dealership, but can’t figure out how to remove the old damaged one. Anyone know how to remove teh side view mirror?
I’m unfamiliar with Beetle’s approach, however on Toyotas and Civics there is a triangular “garnish” in the front triangular corner of the door frame that pops off. Behind it are three nuts, typically about 12mm. Remove those and the mirror assembly comes off and unplugs.
Perhaps the Beetle approach is similar.
