I have a convertible that I park under the carport. I cover the car with a car cover, too. Would it hurt for me to leave the top down occasionally and cover it with the car cover, then place the car under the carport? The top is manual and not so easy to operate. Sometimes I know I will want to drive the car the next day or so top down … and I hate all that putting the top up and down. Thanks for your help.
Shouldn’t hurt anything except the paint when you drag the tarp on and off seeing it’s going to be under the carport. You might want to tie the corners down so it doesn’t blow off.
There is no harm in leaving the top down overnight, or for several days at a time, especially if the vehicle is under a roof and covered.
