So here’s my issue: My Dad (great Dad that he is) removed my antenna from my 1975 450sl in an attempt to repair the thing. BUT, instead of unplugging the antenna, he opened up the cover and unplugged each of the connection wires. This is an original older style antenna with three wires a red, black and white. Well after waiting for a bearing to come in and getting around to reinstalling the thing, he now doesn’t quite remember which wire connects to which tab. We think the black is the ground, and the red is the hot - but where to put them back? Does anyone have a similar antenna they can snap a photo of the interior and share - or describe to me which tab recieves which wire? I can take a photo of what I am speaking of if it would help.
