Is it possible for me to replace the HID headlights myself? Pretty tight area to work in, what has to come off to change them?
Doesn’t the Owner’s Manual contain a graphic showing how to change the headlights?
My Pacifica has HID headlights, and the owner’s manual states that bulb replacement should be done by the dealer, with no instructions for DIY given.
I do not know if you mean the bulb or the assembly, but most likely you will need a dealer to do this. On Saabs the dealer must program the lamp to the vehicle by getting into the on board computer.
I believe that true OE HID’s are a little difficult to get things back into fully working order to assure they don’t blind oncoming drivers. I suspect that and other reasons why HID’s are no longer all that popular.
