Hey guys- looking for a little advice. My rear power lock is not functioning. When I hit the power locks, the other three power locks work, but the one will not function and I can hear the actuator make a prolonged electrical noise (like a deep whine). Is it safe to assume that I need to replace the actuator? I just don’t want to throw parts at it. Thanks.
What year is this Escape ?
Might be just a plastic clip has broken. Might be the solenoid.
most years I just checked , the lock actuator is integral to the latch.
Time to buy a latch.
Unless there’s something stuck in there keeping it from moving, but that’s rare unless you have bratty kids sticking tooth picks and othere debris in the latch levers.
