Hey everybody in car land do any of you out there know a good way of getting the pitman arm off without taking the steering box completely off i have tried a ball joint remover but the forks are not wide enough ???
You have the wrong tool. You need a tool which is specifically for pitman arms. Available at auto parts stores. They, also, have the repair manual that you need.
Buy a pitman arm puller. OTC makes them among others.
