My 2006 Subaru Baja has begun setting off the panic alarm (lights flash and horn blows) on it’s own & locks the doors. I press the unlock button (remote) and it stops. Starts again in 30 - 60 minutes. Tried manually lock/unlock doors, started the car. Went off again hour plus later. I removed battery cable overnight. REhooked cable, it started process again 12 hours later. I had left the sunroof open 1 week ago and some rain fell inside.
It sounds like the panic button on your remote might be malfunctioning.
Thanks for the suggestion. Both remotes were both inside the house and not in range of the car. They had not been used nor the car started in the past 4 days. Any other thoughts or suggestions before I take it to the dealer next week?
