Non carb part is $130. Carb part is $1000? Why?
2nd point. Front cat is $130. Front and rear is $160. Approx. why is pair only $30 more? Package deal?
I am not concerned much with emissions issue, I just want parts that fit. My flex pipe is shot.
Had shop look at it. Asked about just doing flex pipe. They didn’t want to go that route. Car ain’t worth much but I DO prefer NO exhaust leak.

you’re not making good comparisons, imo

Carb and non-carb are going to have huge price disparities . . . any carb-certified part is going to be considerably more expensive

And direct-fit is always more expensive than the alternative

Since you say the car isn’t worth much, just install the cheapest non-direct fit part that is legal in your area

But, why is part A and B $160 and part A alone is 130? Actually part B is also $130 alone. I did see a seller that had A and B for $240. It’s the internet. You can charge whatever ya want.

Usually based on supply.

Last year I had to get new ■■■■■ handles for our pantry. The handle for the left door was $35. The handle for the right door was $50. The handles are just mirror images of each other.

The Ebay part may have been old dealer stock bought at pennies on the dollar and now offered cheap because it fits a car 23 years old… Most of which have long since seen the crusher. Sell it cheap and get it out of their warehouse.

I changed oil and inspected down pipe bolts from manifold and they look to have little rust. I’m going to try and loosen them before buying parts. I removed j-pipe on Honda pilot this fall so I know the issues.
