I have a 2003 Subaru Legacy wagon with about 120,000 miles on it. Sometime within the last two weeks, the horn stopped working. I checked the usual suspects, like the horn fuse and relay, and both looked fine.
At about the same time, the red “Air Bag” warning light on the dash came on. Since these are both on the steering wheel, I figured they might point to a common issue.
What can I do to find and fix this problem?
In order to allow the steering wheel to turn, a “clockspring” wiring connector is used…Some of these are fairly easy to replace and some are not…For sure, the steering wheel must be removed…
