I have a 1990 Toyota 4 cyl 4wd truck. Ever since we bought it it has had an oil leak. I had the rear seal fixed when my clutch when it went out. Still leaked a little. Then my father-in-law and husband fixed the main seal last weekend. It is leaking worse now. But the oil is clean it always dropped more. We think it just needs to have the “sleeve” replaced. They didn’t have one when they put it back together and skipped it for the moment. Now we are trying to find the part. Any other thoughts on what could be making it leak?
If the shaft got nicked while replacing the seal it will quickly damage the new seal.
Another possibility is a problem in the PCV system causing the crankcase to pressurize.
