I’m learning that the above logic applies not only to old vehicles but also to old body parts.
Generally another instrument cluster (used) is needed. The cost of repairing an odometer fault would make it unfeasible economically.
How long to you plan to keep this Celica running? If you don’t fix the odometer, how will you determine the proper service intervals?
In your position, I would probably not fix the odometer, but these are important questions to consider.
