I purchased a 2002 hyundai santa fe about 6 months ago. The car has 43 000 miles and runs great. However , I’ve had a nagging noisy belt issue that I just can’t seem to fix. When the car is cold, the belt is noisy. The noise goes away after a few min of driving, but this annoys me nonetheless and I just can’t understand why it does this. I’ve had the belt changed twice, had the pully changed and the result has been the same. The noise dissappeared each time I replaced the belt but returned exactly as it was about 2 weeks after the parts were changed. I’ve never had this problem with any other car I’ve owned and would really like to fix this, but I’m not sure what else to do at this point. Can you help me?
I’ve had good luck with Goodyear Gatorback Poly-V belts where others have been noisy on my 2000 Blazer.
