I have a clunking noise when turning the steering wheel. Mechanic said it must be in the steering column itself as he said the bearings were fine. Has anyone heard of a problem like this? Does anyone know what could be causing this noise?
Is it a one time clunk or does it clunk in time with the wheels?
What Model-Year Is This Saturn Aura ?
I Suspect The Intermediate Steering Shaft Is The Source Of The Noise. Check With A GM Dealer Who Services Saturns And See If A “Revised” Shaft Is Available.
Most dealer mechanics can give it a quick listen and verify that the shaft is the culprit.
