My 86 Mercedes 190e simply died and wouldn’t restart. It does turn over, but my mechanic said it was getting no fire at all to the plugs. Any ideas?
I’m not sure what devices this has on it but the normal culprits would be computer, fuse, coil, crank sensor or even battery.
Does it have a distributor with a cap and a rotor? If so, inside it will be an ignition sender or magnetic sender and perhaps the ignition module, the entire system inside the distributor…Or the ignition module may be located outside the distributor…You need to isolate the failed component. That’s what mechanics do for a living…Yours is perhaps working out of his depth…
