Nissan fuel rail quick disconnect

My son is replacing his fuel line on his 2006 Nissan Sentra Spec-V. All the information I can find indicates it is a 5/16” fuel line. The QD fittings in the fuel rail and firewall are disconnected with the 5/16 tool. He would like to use new QD fittings but I can’t find any information on them. The OEM do not appear to be available anymore. I have gone to the major auroparts stores, they are lost because their computer does not give them any information. Same with their web sites. They show a dozen different possibilities but absolutely no information about the QD size or line size.

We got the fuel line today but it is much bigger than the line in the car. The fuel line in the car measurers 5/16 OD where the line we bought is 5/16 ID. The fuel line in the car is stretched over a 5/16 barb, I don’t know how they got it to stretch that big.

The Nissan forums are no help either. Just a shot in the dark to see if anyone has any ideas of what could work.

I did see a kit from a company called Evil Energy that looked good. It seemed kind of pricy at first but looks like high quality stuff. Requires AN fittings but it looks like they have everything. But after seeing the prices for some of the stuff we have been able to buy locally, it is starting to look like a bargain.

Have you looked at these to see if anything fits??

Used something like this before at different shops…

You might look for a JDM import shop to see if they have something you could buy, or just let them repair the fuel line…

I did. None of those have the QD for the fuel rail. When I do find QD’s for fuel rails, they do not list what vehicles they fit or any dimensions at all.

I think I have found my answer and it doesn’t look like the OEM fitting. Looks like the two best answers are from Evil Energy.

This one appears to be the best. No special tools needed, just the right size wrench

This one is a push on but how it is disconnected is not clear, but it is for frequent repeated use. I don’t know if it takes a special tool or you just squeeze the blue piece.

I don’t like that they require AN fittings to be used on the fuel line, but then the fuel line they are designed for is PTFE lined, steel and nylon braided synthetic rubber.

While this stuff looks expensive, it is actually cheaper than the stuff at the local Auto Parts store. Just plain fuel line (EFI rated) runs about $13/ft without any fittings.
